2011 Calendars

When I was growing up, we always had a big family calendar, usually hanging near the desk and the telephone, to record all important activities and schedules.  Now, a lot of people don't even have a home phone, and digital calendars are replacing paper versions.  Even though I get a lot of use out of my iCal, I still appreciate a well-designed printed calendar.  Here are a few options for 2011 calendars in case you want to keep track of playdates, birthdays, and appointments the old-fashioned way!

Around the World desk calendar - $15

Creature wall calendar - $14
We have Andrew Zuckerman's book Creature ABC, and this calendar uses the same amazing animal photographs.

Brooklyn Bridge calendar - $15

Blue crab mini letterpress calendar - $5
A cute little calendar from blackbird letterpress

These calendars from Minted are a bit more expensive, but they have a great selection of designs to pick from.  These would make great presents too, filled with photos of your family.

 Black & white desk calendar - $15
I really like the black silhouettes on this desk calendar - I may have to order this one!

Floral desk calendar - $15
Another calendar by J Press Designs, in case you prefer more colorful designs.

Here are a few alternatives if you want a calendar to keep track of the date, but don't need to write anything down:

This white ceramic calendar includes the days of the week, month, and date (in English, Portugese, and Spanish).  As a bonus, the parts separate so you can store small office supplies inside the calendar.

I like this French Art Deco calendar that's listed right now on eBay, but you can get similar styles for much less. Try the searches "vintage perpetual calendar," "antique perpetual calendar," or "brass calendar."

Step perpetual calendar - on sale for $10
If you prefer a 3D calendar, this one might be for you.  It is also a perpetual calendar, so you can just shift the cubes and keep using it into 2012 and beyond.

Best wishes for a wonderful 2011!

I couldn't agree more! I love a well-designed calendar. I love the 'black and white', 'floral', and 'around the world' options you showed!
